The perfect autumn perennials are now available in our brand-new kit, giving you an abundance of blossoming anemones with minimum effort required.
Each of these anemones flowers from late summer to autumn and will reemerge again in the Spring time. Once established they need very little care and will bloom for years, making them the perfect gift that keeps on giving.
These flowers will create a gorgeous complimentary display if planted together as well as creating points of vibrancy when planted on their own. They pair beautifully with other flowers such as Hydrangeas and Geraniums too.
Anemones are wonderful pollinators and will attract a wealth of bees and butterflies to your garden. They?re also conveniently deer and rabbit resistant, ensuring that you can create the perfect wildlife haven without any stress of pests.
Anemone hupehensis Andrea Atkinson ? Flourishes with delicate and whimsical blooms, its creamy soft white petals adding a distinct brightness to patio pots, containers and borders. The classic pairing of white blooms nestled amongst the deep green foliage means that these flowers are richly diverse and can shine in numerous settings. Grows to a maximum of 100cm x 50cm.
Anemone hupehensis Bessingham Glow – Lives up to its namesake and creates instant luminosity in beds and borders. Sunset pink petals adorn the flowers golden centre in a vibrant burst of colour with long elegant stems. Grows to a maximum of 90cm x 120cm.
Anemone hupehensis Serenade ? With lush green foliage and flexible greens stems, ?Serenade? will blossom with dreamy deep pink flowers that creates a captivating display of vivid colour. The strong stems ensure that the flowers continue to thrive for months at their tall height without any breakages. Grows to a maximum of 90cm x 80cm.
All supplied as a kit of three plugs, one of each and ready for planting.
Top Tips
Once the flowers are fully established, deadhead and prune back stems to encourage further flourishes of growth.
Care Guide
- Anemone?s can survive in a variety of soils in shady or full sun locations. However, for best results with plentiful blooms, plant all three varieties of anemones in moist well drained soil.
- ?Bessingham Glow? and ?Serenade? prefer partial shady spots whereas ?Andrea Atkinson? will thrive in sun or shade.
- Plant outside when all risk of frost has passed
- Water well once initially planted
- If soil is lacking in nutrients, supplement it with compost or fertiliser for even healthier plants
- To encourage deep root growth, water deeply once a week rather than lightly every day.
- Perennials are hardy and low maintenance, yet they still need water during dry spells.
