Approximately 90cm tall the Areca Palm originates from Madagascar. This medium sized palm tree with a small trunk can grow up to 20m with pinnate shape feather like leaves branching off. Enjoying a light spot in the home enjoys natural light, keep away from doorways or anywhere that may incur a draft. During spring and summer you should maintain a slightly moist soil, sensitive to fluoride in tap water, distilled or bottled water recommended, water sparingly as overwatering is a sure fire way to kill it. Fertilise in spring and summer only needs magnesium and iron feeds with little salts.

- Plants do best indoors away from artificial heat such as radiators, ideally in a bright position out of direct sun.
