Ornamental Grasses Collection

These ornamental grasses bring beautiful texture and colour all year. Forming neat mounds of arching leaves, they look great planted together in the ground or in pots, especially in contemporary planters for an architectural look, and need very little care.

This Colourful Ornamental Grass Collection includes 2 x 9 cm of each of the following varieties:

• Festuca ?Blue Select?: Neat clumps of intense steel blue leaves. H30 cm x W25 m.
• Carex buchananii: A larger grass with arching copper leaves. H75 cm x W1 m.
• Carex ?Evergold?: Bright green leaves with a broad yellow stripe. H50 cm x W50 cm.

Top Tips

• Leave the flower stems on until spring – they look great in winter!

Care Guide

• To plant, firstly water your potted plant well.
• Dig a hole a little deeper and 3 x wider than the nursery pot.
• Remove the plant from its pot and tease out some of the roots.
• Place your plant in the hole at the same level at the pot then refill the hole with the earth removed.
• Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball and water well before adding a mulch around the base of the plant.
• Water regularly until established, but your grasses will quickly become drought tolerant.
• Cut back old flower stems in autumn, unless you want to leave them in place over winter, in which case cut back in spring.
